April 2006
04_22_02: It has been a long time since I updated my website, but I am finally getting around to. I plan to redesign it in a matter of weeks to reflect new and evolving interests.
June 2001
06_28_01: Added a question & answer section
regarding RealViz's MatchMover 2 application. This was used with
an animated (motion-capture) dancer in a Maya 3 file.
06_11_01: I
uploaded some more asteroid movies. You may need to download and install the Divx
codec to view these AVI files. Email me know if you have trouble with
the files. I may be posting Quicktime (*.mov) files in the near future as well.

04_6_01: Just made the last of the web
page updates for a while..
March 2001
03_11_0: I
am prepping my Windows 2000 workstation. I also posted some preview movies of my asteroid
scene. Check out the Portfolio page. The troubleshooting
page was also updated.

Scott Squires some 3D tracking test files. I used RealViz's MatchMove 2.0 to
generate matchmove scene data to import into Maya 3.

where I can post images to assist my posts on wwwug.com and other sites.
01_02_01: Added a page
regarding Linux and its use in the 3D/FX industry. I also sent in my

down in Hollywood.
December 2000
12_28_00: Got word from
Michelle (who received it from Habib) that Habib Zargarpour's title was
incorrect on the LandMaster page. Ooops! Egg on my
face!:-) Now it is correct.
12_18_00:
Inquired about the Commotion class
at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco for the third time this year.
No openings again. So I intend to go through all nine "Learning
Commotion" tapes.
November 2000
12_09_00:
Gave notice to Sun Microsystems last week. I am currently
setting up a six-month schedule to take a break from work.
11_21_00: Videotaped the World War II submarine, U.S.S Pampanito,
at pier 45 in San Francisco today. The scene was photographed in progressive
mode for later manipulation in Commotion.
11_15_00: Purchased a
Canon GL1 three-chip
MiniDV camcorder to
capture background plates. I also bought the Digital Origin DV capture card.
September 2000
09_20_00:
Added a page that describes my scene involving rotating
asteroids in a gaseous space cloud. This scene was
inspired by the asteroid chase sequence in "The Empire Strikes
Back."
09_06_00: I am trying to squeeze into a Rotoscoping (using Commotion) class at
The Academy of Art in San Francisco. It is a full class and the instructor
has not returned my counselor's calls. Update: They wouldn't let allow a
19th student! Oh well, I guess I will purchase the $500 training tapes
($1,500 cheaper than the class) and teach myself.
August 2000
08_21_2000:
I upgraded to 512 MB or RAM and purchased a 15 GB hard
drive. I will install Windows 2000 and Maya 3.0 on this drive when I can.
08_15_2000: I have been regularly updating the
dino page with test
renders from the DinoMetrics. What a learning experience this has
been. I need a bigger hard drive and more memory! This project involves test
rendering scenes that involve geometry that use fur and trying to refine fur
shadows.
